BVNA webinar on the Legislative Reform Consultation – part 1

BVNA held a live webinar on 19th March that offers discussion on the vet-led team and VN enhancement aspects of the Legislative Reform Consultation.

The Legislative Reform Consultation was published in late 2020, and the deadline for submission of responses was extended until 23rd April 2021 to offer some extra time due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the profession.

The Legislative Reform Consultation is asking for feedback and comment on a series of recommendations for changes to the way in which the professions are governed and regulated, contained in the Report of the RCVS Legislation Working Party (LWP), by 5pm on Friday 23 April 2021.

The BVNA have produced a webinar, which was aired live on Facebook on 19th March 2021, and included BVNA President Jo Oakden, RVN and RN Helen Ballantyne, RVN Tom Reilly and MRCVS Liz Mullineaux.

The webinar discusses two aspects of the consultation that directly affect veterinary nurses – the vet-led team and enhancement of the VN role, and offers the panel’s input to how these changes could potentially impact on our profession. Part 2 is due to be aired on the 23rd March.
