RCVS VN Council election 2021 sees 14 candidates standing

The RCVS VN Council, following an extension of the nomination period, sees 14 candidates put themselves forward for the one remaining place on Council.

Following the initial nomination period, where only one Council member, Susan Howarth, put themselves forward for re-election; the RCVS extended the nomination period and has now received a record number of nominations for the one remaining place on Council.

The RCVS was also able to gain permission from Privy Council to temporarily amend its Election Scheme to allow voting to take place entirely online this year, due to the coronavirus pandemic, and its impact on the postal service.

Voting is taking place as of this week (week commencing 15th March 2021), and as a Registered Veterinary Nurse you should have received an email with a link and associated security codes to enable you to vote.

This is your opportunity to cast your vote for the veterinary nurse who you feel will best represent and help to shape the future of our profession in their role on Council and in making a contribution to their important work.

You can view the candidate manifestos by visiting the RCVS VN Council 2021 election page here.

You can also view information about the current Council members here.

All votes must be cast by 5pm on Friday, 23 April 2021.
