‘Finding the right team member for your practice’ is a 2-part course that helps you to develop the recruitment skills that you need to identify the right team member for your practice.

Current shortage

With the current shortage of veterinary professionals, it can be very tempting to simply employ whomever applies for your vacancy. Yet, this rarely results in a successful outcome. But how do you know what you are looking for in a new recruit, and how do you go about finding them?

These are the questions that are answered in the first of this 2-part course that examines practice purpose and the impact that this plays on finding the person who best fits the role. This is accompanied by the practical aspects of recruitment; how to complete a job analysis, planning and running an efficient and effective recruitment campaign and producing job advertising copy to attract attention.

Deciding on the best candidate

The second part of the course will complete the cycle, where we will learn how to fairly assess and decide on the best candidate for your practice.
