Linda started her nursing career in general practice, qualifying in 2002. She then spent many years working in specialist clinics at two university referral hospitals. She has attained the Diploma in Advanced Nursing (Medical) in 2006 and the Veterinary Technician Specialty (Oncology) in 2009.
She is a qualified animal trainer and behaviour practitioner and, in Autumn 2018, Linda became a Veterinary Technician Specialist in Behaviour.
Linda runs Inspiring Pet Teaching, aimed at pet and owner training and education, and continuing education provision for veterinary and para-professionals. With a foot in both the camps of animal behaviour & nursing, she has a strong focus on the interplay between clinical practice and animal behaviour. She is passionate about cooperative care and patient-friendly practice, and regularly teaches on this topic to veterinary professionals.
Linda continues to study in the field of animal behaviour.
Linda is also a faculty member for the Karen Prior Academy, an IAABC (International Association of Animal Behaviour Consultants) certified behaviour consultant, and regularly works with ISFM and Fear Free.
